If you are represented, we cannot return your calls; we have to call your lawyer. We aren’t trying to be rude; lawyer’s ethical rules dictate that a lawyer can’t talk to a represented person without their lawyer present. You’re paying a lawyer? Have them call us.
The only exception is when we are serving as guardian ad litem in your case. Then we have to talk to you about the case…and you are probably court ordered to contact us.
So…please, if you have a lawyer and we aren’t your guardian ad litem? Have your lawyer call us to discuss your case.
