Our Policies as We End this OddBall Year

2020 has been a weird year. Like, inconceivably, horrifically, jaw-dropppingly weird. So where are we at?

Well, it’s been an interesting year at our office, too.

Andrea and Sandra head up our administrative team. Andrea is our legal secretary, and Sandra is our billing secretary. We also have a 24/7 answering service that will pick up calls when we aren’t at our desks.

Attorney Cathy Weithman is also renting office space in our building! Welcome Cathy!

On a more serious matter, most of our consultations and appointments are by phone these days. If you are setting up an appointment, and wish to do so by Zoom or FaceTime instead of by phone, we will offer that option as well. Please let the person scheduling your appointment know if you wish to schedule by video rather than phone, or we will default to phone.

We might still be open, but we are keeping our front door locked, even during business hours. If you have an appointment, please show up with a mask on, and knock on the door. We will let you in once your mask is in place, and will proceed with the appointment. There is hand sanitizer on every desk assigned to a staff member, please feel free to use them. If you do not have a mask, we have disposable masks we will provide for you.

We will not, however, let you in without a mask. If you have a medical or other reason why you cannot wear a mask in the office, we will ask you to make other arrangements, by phone or by video, to seek counsel with our office. We respect the needs of others, but do not wish to risk ourselves and our families; almost everyone in the office has high risk family members during this COVID 19 pandemic.

We are sanitizing between clients who do need to come into the office in person.

Also, if you are a parent on a Guardian ad litem case being handled by Addie, please be aware that the COVID-19 situation is something we are keeping a close eye on. If you live in an area where positive cases are rising rapidly, we may contact you about your home visit being done virtually, in Addie’s discretion, although she does prefer to do home visits in person.
